This film highlights Mexico's sex trafficking problems in a very strong and powerful way. It tells the tale of a 17 year old brother Jorge, played by Cesar Ramos and his plight to find his kidnapped 13 year old sister Adriana, played by Paulina Gaitan. Adriana is kidnapped by a group of underground thugs who make a fortune trafficking human cargo from Mexico into the US and selling them via an internet auction site and this film highlights both Adriana's story and her brothers determination to find her.

In the slums of Mexico a teenage thief gives his sister a pink bike for her 13th birthday. While out riding it one morning she gets taken by a group of underground thugs. We follow Adriana, Veronika (a young polish mum) and the other human cargo as they are moved from place to place . We see a friendship develop with Adriana and Veronika after Adriana hands Veronika back a photo of her son that the thugs have torn in two. From there on in we see Veronika do her best to protect Adriana.

Meanwhile we see Jorge doing everything in his power to track down his sister, He eventually ends up in the trunk of Texas investigater Ray Sheridan's (Kevin Kline) car and manages to persuade him to help in the search for his sister.

You would be forgiven for thinking that this film is subtitled all the way through, it does change to English roughly half way through. I know not everyone is a fan of subtitles but don't let it put you off. I found this film really gripping and probably quite realistic in it's content.
