I have always had a fondness for Pixar and this is one of my favourites.

The story starts when two children meet, one being a young quiet and shy Carl Fredricksen and the other a young loud adventurous ellie and without trying to give too much away it shows you their life together through the years. Within a fairly short amount of time we see a touching and sad part of the film and we see Carl Fredricksen as a 78 year old man who thinks his time for adventure and fun have passed him by. Well that is until he meets a Junior Wilderness Explorer named Russell who is trying to earn his Wilderness badge. From there we see Carl get to live his adventure which starts when he uses loads of balloons to lift his house off of the ground!

The characters in this film are loveable especially the dogs and kevin the bird, both of which made me laugh.

This is such an easy film to watch and i would say it would be enjoyed by adults and children alike.

This films shows children (and adults!) about (true!) love, laughter and living our dreams in the most beautiful way possible.

Without a doubt one of the best films to come out of 2009 and one of the best if not THE best star trek film made to date. It was great to see the early days of all the crew and nice to see Leonard Nimoy back.

The casting for this film was spot on and if your a fan of the original series like me then i am sure you will agree. Zachary Quinto as Spock was a perfect choice!

This film won't disappoint old fans and is sure to gain many new fans. It was nice to see the character development and the script was just right with this film and flowed nicely.

Seeing this film made me wish they would consider doing a series with the same cast...highly unlikely i suppose but i am sure it would be a instant hit.

This television series is about two brothers Sam and Dean Winchester who spend their time hunting demons and things that go bump in the night with their dad John.

It started when Sam was a baby, 22 years ago and Sam's mum Mary got pinned to the ceiling by something "supernatural" which set her and the house on fire and killed Mary.Sam's dad managed to save baby Sam and since that day John has hunted demons, vampires and other creatures of your nightmares.

John has raised both boys to follow in his footsteps and be Demon hunters. Yet Sam chooses to go to College rather than have a life of hunting and it isn't till a few years later that this series starts.

John Winchester has gone missing and Dean calls on the help of his brother Sam to help find him. In this series we see Dean and Sam deal with various creatures such as a Wendigo, Shapeshifter and shadow demons!

This series is well scripted, has great actors and you just have to love the car..a 67 Chevy Impala!

A beautiful and classic children's book that no child should be without and one i loved to read with our children when they were younger.

This book appeals to young children because of the beautifully bright illustrations and cute cut out detail.

It's a simple story of a caterpillar eating his way through different foods becoming bigger and turning into a beautiful butterfly.

It's a great way to introduce counting and is a lovely simple story to please the younger generations and bring back fond memories to older generations.

A great mix of driving songs with something everyone is bound to like. What better way to keep alert then by listening to some great tunes.

Cirque Du Freak:The Vampire's Assistant is based on the very popular series of books by Darren Shan.

A young boy Darren and his friend Steve find out from a leaflet about a freak show coming into town and so off they go and see the Cirque du Freak. After watching several shows including the bearded lady and the wolf man, Larten Crepsley who we find out thanks to Steve a bit later is actually a Vampire comes on with a very bright talented and yet poisonous spider. Darren ends up taking the spider or should i say "borrowing it" and Darren's friend Steve ends up getting bitten.

Darren asks Larten Crepsley for the antidote but Larten only gives it to him on the condition that he will turn Darren into a half vampire and so the story really gets started...

This is a great film and had me totally hooked and has a Harry Potter feel about it.

I had heard it didn't do as well as expected from the box office which i find very surprising to be honest. It's one film where i really hope they make a sequel.

Anyway i shall now have to go out and buy some of Darran Shan's books and see how they compare.

A lovely 2 disk collection of Michael Jackson's best songs with memorable tracks such as Thriller,Dirty Diana and the very popular Earth Song.

If you're a MJ fan then you won't be disappointed.

Another beautiful cd by the wonderful Eddi Reader. This album reminds me of quiet summer evenings and is very relaxing.

Patience of angels is such a beautiful track.

A new kind of Science fiction film.

The main character is Sam Bell played Sam Rockwell who is an employee of Lunar Industries,a company who is reponsible for mining for an energy source called Helium 3 which can only be found on the moon.

Sam is all by himself apart from a computer called GERTY who is voiced by Kevin Spacey. Sam has a 3 year contract with Lunar industries and he is nearing the end of the contract.

While out inspecting the helium 3 harvesters Sam crashes a lunar vehicle and ends up waking up in the main base infirmary but when he goes to check out the accident site he is shocked by what awaits him.

I really don't want to spoil this film for people who haven't watched it so won't give anymore away.

Considering this only has 2 Actors and one of those is just voiced. This film is very good and the storyline kept me hooked. If you are into your sci fi films then i highly recommend this film.

I can't review this properly yet as i haven't actually read it. I was recommended it via a twitter link, though i will be reviewing it as i intend to purchase it shortly.

With many people in the Uk and abroad suffering from Alzheimer's or knowing someone who is or caring for them i thought this book deserved some advertising.

It's a personal experience from a man who has lost many members of his family from this dreaded illness and as a person who lost a dear family from this illness i am certainly interested in what he has to say.
