For one more day

For years i haven't been able to pick up a book and read it through from start to finish. That was until i discovered Mitch Albom.

I bought For one more day after a friend told me that she thought it was one of the best books she had ever read, to be honest it isn't my usual type of book and i was a bit sceptical.

I sat down and started reading, and the story brought tears to my eyes. Mitch Albom certainly has a way of putting things on paper that make you feel as though he could almost be writing about your life and your relationships. I think many of us, especially those of us who have lost a loved one have thought to ourselves that if only we had one more day we would do things differently.

The book centres around Charley, he has had a rough ride in life and gets to such a low point that he tries to commit suicide, yet he finds himself being taken back to spend one more day with his mother.


The overall message of this book seems to be that a mothers love never ends. I found it a heartwarming book and would recommend it as a quick yet emotional read.
